What attracted you to studying with IDCORE?

By chance, I discovered the IDCORE programme while exploring the University of Edinburgh’s offerings. At that point in my career, I had decided to pursue a path as a research engineer, and the IDCORE programme aligned perfectly with my goals. The opportunity to conduct research in an industry-connected environment, particularly in offshore renewable energy, greatly appealed to me. My interest in this field had already been sparked by my final year undergraduate project on wind turbines.

What ambition would you like to achieve as a research engineer?

As a research engineer, my ambition is to contribute to the advancement of sustainable energy solutions. I aim to develop innovative technologies that enhance the efficiency and reliability of renewable energy systems, particularly in the offshore sector. By collaborating with industry partners and leveraging cutting-edge research, I hope to make a meaningful impact on reducing carbon emissions and promoting a cleaner, more sustainable future.
