Site visit to ORE Catapult's Levenmouth Demonstration Turbine

Last Friday saw our newest cohort heading slightly north to visit the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult's Levonmouth Demonstration Turbine (LDT) in Fife, Scotland. The LDT is 'the world’s most advanced, open-access offshore wind turbine dedicated to research and development' - it is an operational, grid connected, offshore turbine, but accessible from the shore, so a really great opportunity to get up close to a full size offshore turbine and learn about the projects the turbine facilitates.

Enormous thanks to the ORE Catapult and Ross Jackson for having us a long for the visit!
